SFI teaches Swedish to immigrants. SFI also teaches things that can be useful to know about Swedish society.
Before you start, the school will test your knowledge of Swedish.
The length of study varies. It depends on how much Swedish you already know, and how much you learn while studying. You can start at any time.
When you have finished a course, you will receive a grade which indicates your proficiency. You receive either a pass or a pass with distinction. If you don’t pass, you will receive a certificate which states how much you do know.
After attending SFI it will be easier to find employment. Other options are municipal adult education or attending a folk high-school.
If you live in the municipality of Hultsfred, please apply to SFI, Hultsfreds gymnasium, Stora torget 3, 577 30 Hultsfred. Click here for an application form.
You can discuss with your SFI teachers what you would like to learn and test your existing knowledge. You will also find out what you can expect to know when the course is finished.
To attend SFI you must be registered in the municipality, be over 16 years of age and you must not be a Swedish speaker.
To find out more, please telephone the course director, Gun-Yvonne Fahlström, on 0495-24 11 14. The SFI teachers can be reached on 0495-24 11 74.
